The RFNSW:

About the Opportunities
As a result of a reorientation of services The Richmond Fellowship of New South Wales (RFNSW) is seeking a full-time Service Manager to join the current team of 17 Managers across the State. This Level 2 position will manage larger complex services based in Newcastle.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main focus of this role will be to continue the development and implementation of mental health support programs using innovative community development approaches, manage and support staff, manage a number of interagency partnerships and coordinate and report against program criteria.
You will be supported by a team of experienced professionals, and will work closely with funding bodies, other service providers and area health professionals to develop and maintain positive partnerships and achieve the best possible outcomes for service users. Your personal drive and professional experience will allow you to lead and manage the administration and service delivery of the program.
Working as an integral part of the senior management team, your input will also be important at an executive level to review and monitor service performance, policies and procedures and to support the organisation’s ongoing growth and development.
You will possess tertiary qualifications in the behavioural sciences or a health related discipline and have proven experience in a range of managerial functions including the management of staff, departmental budgeting, partnerships and risk. You will also have the ability to report on a range of quantitative and qualitative performance and service outcome measures.
Your prior experience at a management level will be highly valued as will your experience within a service-based environment. Ideally you will have experience in developing HASI and PHaMs or other Mental Health Support Services. With excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills, you will be an effective leader prepared to influence and gain results in a developing environment within a growth industry.
