About the Opportunity
'focus' is seeking a passionate and motivated Team Leader (Disability Services) to join their dedicated team, based at Mount Martha on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.
Supporting and directing the existing team of staff, you will guide the service and be responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing success of both consumers and the team.
The ideal candidate will be a caring individual with a non-judgemental attitude, and be highly experienced in the field of Intellectual Disability and the management of Behaviours of Concern. They will also have empathy and concern for the well-being of all people with a disability, their families and carers.
You will require a Certificate IV in Disability Services (or higher) with previous experience in the disability sector. In addition, you will possess a sound understanding of the development and implementation of Behavioural Support Plans.
To be successful in this position you will have a proven ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to consult, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels and will be dynamic, proactive and a natural leader with a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes.
